Experience:
Greg Small gained his consulting experience while working for Xerox Corporation. He has spent over 25 years consulting in the areas of quality and organizational development. He worked with the Xerox Total Quality Management strategy team, which eventually led to Xerox being honored with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

He also helped design and implement the Xerox strategy for self-directed work teams for the U.S. Service Organization, with 18,000 employees and 3,000 work teams.

Greg has been a frequent speaker at conferences, including the Clemson University Benchmarking High Performance Teams, San Francisco Bay Area Human Resource Executives, American Management Association yearly convention, American Society for Training and Development yearly convention and the Hunter Conference on Quality.

Greg also consults globally, having worked with organizations in the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, Norway and Russia. He spent 2 years teaching self-directed work teams in California at the University of The Pacific, which enhanced his own experience as well as those he taught.

Last year (2007) Greg worked with Business Consultants Network, a consulting firm headquartered in Japan. He lead their efforts to respond to an RFP for the State of California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation. He met with the client, did the management interviews and compiled all the preliminary data. He also presented the findings from the current state assessment back to the executive team. He lead the team responsible for writing the contract verbiage. The first phase of the contract was to change the way medical services provided 24/7/365 care to the inmate population at San Quentin.
